DEATHSTARS Completing Work On New Album

DEATHSTARS guitarist Emil Nödtveidt (a.k.a. Nightmare Industries) has posted the following update on the group's official web site:

"We've been busy as hell over here, I moved to Stockholm back in November and it's been chaotic but creative ever since.

"Me and Skinny [bass] has opened up a studio called Black Syndicate Studios where we have almost finished recording our new album to be released this fall. Me and Skinny has also got the honor of producing the new DISSECTION album (The first in 10 years!) so we are doing both albums simultaneously in our studio. For all you fuckers who wanna check the studio out go to www.blacksyndicate.se.

"Back to our album, Whiplasher [vocals] will be coming back from his trip to Africa & London tomorrow and we will spend this week recording the last parts of his vocals on the album. Drums, guitars, bass and most of the keyboards are already finished.

"The mix will begin in the end of may and be finished mid June and it will once again be done by Mr. Stefan Glaumann.

"We'll be back soon with more information on the progress and on the album itself, probably also a few video clips from the recording period, keep your eyes out motherfuckers! Yeah that's it, right here!"

In other news, Nightmare and Skinny will be DJing at StockholmRock Revelation on May 21 at Kägelbanan in Stockholm. More information is available at www.stockholmrock.com.

DEATHSTARS' debut album, "Synthetic Generation" — originally issued in Sweden in March 2002 via the Universal affiliate LED Recordings — was released through Nuclear Blast in November 2003.

The Swedish band, in existence since January 2000, were previously known as SWORDMASTER and feature in their ranks former DISSECTION drummer Ole Öhman and guitarist Emil Nödtveidt (brother of DISSECTION leader Jon). The group's musical style is being described as "powerful industrial metal," and is said to be not a million miles removed from that of PAIN, RAMMSTEIN and MARILYN MANSON.
